Is there any jellyfin clients designed for photos and videos only?

I’ve looked everywhere and it’s looks like there isn’t any. I’m running jellyfin on windows and I’m using it to access my image and videos library from my phone. The default jellyfin for android is great but its lacks performance and using it to play videos feels too clunky, also i know there are other solutions like immich and photoprism that are doing the same thing and they have a solid android clients but using docker is too much for my needs.

You could sync your photos folder between your devices using syncthing.

The prolem is, I don’t want to store them on my phone viewing a large collection of photos and videos (approximately70gb), is what I’m trying to do. Jellyfin is doing it but the client isn’t helping at all.

Can I ask why you say that Docker is “too much”?

Docker generally simplifies the installation and deployment of very many applications, and makes upgrades of the apps extremely easy.

And it has an extremely low overhead…

Docker is resource intensive because of wsl virtualization. I can run jellyfin all day long and it doesn’t take more than 300 mb of Ram. Also I game alot, it’s just inconvenient to manually pause Docker containers everytime I launch a game.

Ah, you’re on Windows, I completely missed that from your original post… Then it makes complete sense.

Are you saying that you want to put it to a network share?

The app then let’s you navigate and view the photos/videos?
