Migrating watched data to a new server

I recently got a new NAS and Im trying to import my watched status. the recommended way seems to be via trakt, which I am already using.

The issue is the new jellyfin instance doesnt seem to be importing my trakt watched status. I do have my files organized differently on the new server, if thats the issue.

Anyway, this is keeping me from actually using my new NAS so I’d like to get this solved. Any advice is appreciated

And how would you read that into a new jellyfin instance

If using docker, you can take a copy of the docker data/config and copy it over to the new server.

Make sure to stop both docker containers before copying.

I did this to migrate from nas to nas and ignoring transfer times took me about an hour to get jellyfin, *arrs and about a dozen other containers working.

the new nas has jellyfin in docker, the old one is just a freebsd desktop with jellyfin installed via the regular package manager

You can copy over the database from the old server and that should work.
