M4 Book Edit if you want a book accurate version. Followed by the Dustin Lee edit if you want an improved version of the trilogy (without concern for canon). Both condense down into one film and are very well done and thoughtfully edited.

Whole thing went to crap the second the elves caught them in mirkwood IMO. Up till then, it was decent.
