Can only upload images if Markdown is turned off

I was trying to upload an image in a comment. After messing with it for a while, I figured out that I get a button to do the upload only if I have Markdown turned off. Is this something others are seeing too?

I ask because client-specific issues (like browser and extensions) can sometimes cause problems like this.
