people talk about “safety” vs “privacy”, but privacy is safety in an oppressive regime.
Well said!
It’s their safety, not ours. Safety of their wallet and their unpopular ideals. Privacy is the antithesis of control since revolutions require privacy to organize whether those are social revolutions like women getting the right to show their hair in public or to vote or more aggressive revolutions.

From what I’ve seen and heard of, this’ll be bound to privileged Google Mobile Services and to the Play Store (obviously). So GrapheneOS users are unaffected.
This is why we don’t have screen time section in the AOSP settings app.
