Is There An Active Networking Lemmy Sub?

I know this isn’t explicitly selfhosting related, but the Venn diagrams do overlap. I’ve been searching, but for the most part, what I find are 2 year old, defunct subs.

Best we got. Not much traffic because Lemmy isn’t that popular.

^^^^ get to posting, OP! These comms aren’t gonna fill themselves!

LOL I sure will check them out. I have more questions than solutions.

Ironically, that's probably what's needed to get the yapping started. With the fediverse being what it is, there's lots of highly technical people kicking around (networking people included), but little need for us to be posting stuff about it unless it's time to shit talk HPE again or something.

Absolutely, the selfhosted communities are full of networking pros.

Indeed, the SelfHosting community is quite knowledgeable. I recommend it every chance I get, especially over in communities like Lemmy Privacy. Selfhosting is an integral part of my security, anonymity, and privacy posture. However, here, there is Rule #3 which, depending on how fine you want to split hairs, could be construed as being in violation. I’m at home, I am computing…Sometimes I may have a question strictly about networking, that may or may not be covered under the umbrella of SelfHosting, which is why I asked. I will give the suggestions listed here a go and see what happens.

Thanks once again.

Yeah, I absolutely agree with your POV. I guess you could post there anytime your question could be applied to a homelab.

Thanks. I didn’t know that existed.

No problem. Yeah, it’s an invaluable off-site resource that new users don’t get informed about. Indexes all of the Threadiverse instances, whereas any given instance can only search the communities that are local or at least one local user has subscribed to.
