Hey guys, version 2.5.3 of Tasks.md just got released!

This release is actually pretty small, as I focused a lot on resolving technical debt, fixing visual inconsistencies and improving “under the hood” stuff. Which I will continue to do a little bit more before the next release.

For those who don’t know, Tasks.md is a self-hosted, Markdown file based task management board. It’s like a kanban board that uses your filesystem as a database, so you can manipulate all cards within the app or change them directly through a text editor, changing them in one place will reflect on the other one.

The latest release includes the following:

Edit: Updated with the correct link, sorry for the confusion! The fact that someone created another application with the same name I used for the one I made is really annoying

Seems cool!

Does it handle sharing a task list between people? Or syncing between multiple clients / handling concurrent edits?

I see the manual says keyboard commands are the main way to control it. Does it work in mobile?

Looks like you’re putting lots of work into it, thanks for sharing.

Sorry, I think you opened the wrong app, as I didn’t included the link before and lemmy rendered the page with an address to another website :p

The right one is this github.com/BaldissaraMatheus/Tasks.md

I replaced the old link with the new one where the name of the project is

But in any case, here’s the full link github.com/BaldissaraMatheus/Tasks.md

I think it was just my instance taking longer to update or something. It’s there now.

Edit: typos. Can anyone recommend me a decent iOS keyboard that isn’t trying to steal all my data?

Unfortunately, the stock one will be the only one with even a sliver of privacy preserving measures (so far). I tried Swiftkey when it first got released on iOS, and not only did it just not feel right like the stock one, it was also bought by Microsoft at that point and I hadn’t known since the last time I was on Android, they did not own it. :/

If you do find one though, let me know! I love trying out new things!

I loved Swift key until Microsoft screwed the pooch.

Gotta hoover up all that typing data, am I right?

😒
