He upset about the apostrophe, the S, or the younglings?

SkyezOpen@lemmy.world on 24 Oct 05:49 next collapse

Probably just the younglings, but yes that sticker is an abomination before the lord.

saltesc@lemmy.world on 24 Oct 06:34 next collapse

Yeah, I get the feeling the apostrophe wasn’t meant to be there. And if it was, then it wasn’t along with the S.

Also, hail the Empire. Need to kill that fanatical driver and return the child back to their family.

Yes

Localhorst86@feddit.org on 24 Oct 08:13 collapse

what’s wrong with the apostrophe?
“Little Jedi is on board” sounds reasonably right to me.

kungen@feddit.nu on 24 Oct 09:23 collapse

Jedi isn’t a contraction. So, what’s an on board, and why does Little Jedi possess it?

Localhorst86@feddit.org on 24 Oct 09:30 collapse

's can be short for is, or am I wrong? just like “that’s” is a contraction for “that is”.
I am not a native english speaker, so i might be wrong though.

dream_weasel@sh.itjust.works on 24 Oct 10:52 next collapse

You are correct.

Rothe@piefed.social on 24 Oct 10:52 collapse

It depends on whether there is only one or more jedis on board. “Little Jedi’s on board” is singular, while “Little Jedis on board” is plural. I have a suspicion that it was meant to be plural, as in they had multiple kids in the car. But of course it is impossible to say.

ScrollerBall@lemmy.world on 24 Oct 11:30 collapse

But the plural of Jedi is Jedi.

Localhorst86@feddit.org on 24 Oct 15:22 collapse

Jedi’re

HeyJoe@lemmy.world on 24 Oct 11:57 next collapse

It’s their own fault. Who divulges the whereabouts of jedi in this day and age?

ngdev@lemmy.zip on 24 Oct 12:25 collapse

little jedi’s what is on board?

otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 24 Oct 17:28 collapse

Ferreal. The apostrophe alone is grounds for a flip.
